第一赛马网特派北京马展团队报道 第一赛马网在北京马展开幕第二天，请到了美国WA Ventures Equine Services公司Jeffrey Wintersteen先生，就美国阿拉伯马的现状和未来进行了专访。
美国马匹和苜蓿干草进口中国协议已于2017年11月6日签署，恢复美国对华的马匹出口。Jeffrey代表亨尼西阿拉伯马繁育牧场和橡树谷阿拉伯马繁育牧场，欢迎大家来美访问。
Jeffrey指出，阿拉伯马是世界马品种的基本，也是纯血马的三大祖先来源。阿拉伯马不仅优于外貌，还可以做很多表演和比赛，尤其在耐力赛方面的能力为FEI（国际马联）公认的。

阿拉伯马的最普遍的品种之一，它是所有马的基础品种。例如，三匹阿拉伯种马是纯种马的基础。现在几乎所有的马都能找到阿拉伯马的血统。作为一种普遍的品种，它们非常多才多艺，它在耐力方面特别出色，在世界上它们是最好的。他们也会雷宁、猎狐、障碍和盛装舞步，人们用阿拉伯马做任何事。
（原文：The Arabian is one of the most universal of equine breeds, a foundation breed, the foundation of all horses. For example, three Arabian stallions is the foundation of the Thoroughbred. Arabians can be found in almost every breed of horse today. As a universal breed, it makes them very versatile, but it particularly excels in endurance in which they are the best in the world. They also do reining, hunting pleasure, western pleasure, jumping, and dressage. People use Arabians for everything.）
在美国和世界上，最大的阿拉伯表演是在亚利桑那州的斯科茨代尔举行的，有超过250匹马参赛。有九个竞技场，上演阿拉伯马可能和骑手表演的每一个活动。
（The biggest Arabian show in the US and the world takes place in Scottsdale, Arizona with over twenty-five hundreds horses competing. There are nine arenas with every possible riding and in hand events taking place with Arabians.）
当我第一次在中国做关于阿拉伯马的选育研讨会时，有人问我，蒙古马与阿拉伯马相比，在耐力方面是怎样的？这是一个很有趣的问题。在国际马联，我认为，说阿拉伯马是最好的耐力马是毋庸置疑。这说明我对蒙古马不太熟悉，因为他们还没有在国际马联比赛中接受测试。我知道一些中国人实际上是用蒙古马杂交阿拉伯马。虽然现在阿拉伯马是在耐力方面的卓越品种，但看到蒙古马的表现将会非常有趣。也许这将是中国对世界耐力赛的巨大贡献。
（When I first did some breeding seminar about Arabians in China, I was asked how is the Mongolia horse compared to Arabian in regards to endurance. It is a really interesting question with regards to their ability in endurance. In the FEI world, I think it is safe to say the Arabian is the best endurance horse. That said I am not familiar with the Mongolian horse because they have yet to be tested in FEI competition. I do know some Chinese actually crossing Arabians stallions on Mongolian horse mares. While right now Arabians are the preeminent breed in endurance, but will be very interesting to see what role the Mongolian horse would play. Perhaps it will be a great contribution China can make to the world of endurance.）

（The Arabian horse is really a life style to the breed, as perhaps most breeds are. It is how some people choose to spend their disposable income and time. There are Arabians shows not only in the US, but also in Europe, South America, and the Middle East. The current a challenge to expand the Arabian market in China, is the creation of Arabian shows in China. We have sold Arabian horses to China, mostly on based on their aesthetic beauty. They see the picture, video, but it is hard to communicate to them until they actually see the show what it can be. So this is something we want to bring in China, a real world class Arabian horse show. Then they can see for themself, and owners would want to spend their free time and income on this. That is really next step.）

（Then becomes the challenge of educating the Chinese on what good Arabian horse is, so they can actually identify for themself. Right now, they look to advisors like us, and put a lot trust on us to say whether this horse is good or not good for the money they are spending. I really want to be the Chinese buyer to be able to tell this for himself or herself, to be able to access their quality on their own. This is a very worthwhile educational process. This all goes back to the Arabian show where they can see for themself, what it takes to be success and then what the knowledge to find the type of quality that will win.）
