China Equestrian Association announced the planning for 2015 national equestrian events on Jan 14.

There will be 44 national official equestrian events in 2015 – ten more events compared to year 2014.

Shen Li Hong, the vice-president of CEA, expressed that the industry will focus on the internationalization on racing standards to provide world-class professional races in order to raise the reputation for Chinese horse industry.

Another main target for CEA is to speed up the development of dressage by reducing the barrier for event organization and attracting locals and youths to participate in this sport.

“Also, we seek opportunities that merge with tourism in order to promote horse industry and racing events” said Shen.

From October 2014, the State Council of China supported the high-speed development in nine industries including equestrian, which provides a strong backing for it.
