The China Stud Book Committee posted the rules in stud registration and related issues.
Qualification: Studs must be 3 years old or older
Documents: Application Form and Horse Passport
Fee: ￥2000 RMB
Dates:
- Application must be handed in for a racing horse to retire as a stud within 45 days after retirement application
- Application must be handed in for a imported stud within 45 days after the import day
- Application must be handed in for other local studs at least 30 days before matching with mares
Fines applied to applications outsides the above periods.
Any certificate issued by CSBC is different to horse passport.
For horse owners’ convenience, the CSBC data base stores all provided stud information and opens to all horse owners for searching.
Complied with the international rules, any descendant from a non-register stud will not be permitted to enter official races. They will not be recognized as a thoroughbred in China.
