On May 6th,the inaugural China Racehorse Owners Award Ceremony was held at the Happy Vally Racecourse.The event, which aims to gather thought leaders and experts in the horseracing industry, was graced by hundreds of paticipants comprising the who's who of thoroughbred racing.
Orgnized by the Association of Hong Kong Racing Journalists(AHKRJ),HorseChinaOne and Global Racing,votors have through online voting,picked their winners in several categories that that included "Top 10 China Horse Owners" and "China's Top Sire" etc.
Chairman of AHKRJ,Carlos Wu,remarked that Hong Kong has become Asia's top horseracing hub while such a status can be traced back to its roots in China where horseracing and the love for horses has had a long and profound history.With the growing wealth of China,the trend of Chinese horse owners emerging as a rising force in the world of thoroughbred racing cannot be denied.
