China Horse Industry Association (CHIA) organized its Racing Committee on 27th December 2014 and the ceremony was held at Erdos, Inner Mongolia. The chairman of CHIA was elected to be the president of the committee.
The Racing Committee aims to improve quality and raise marketing value for Chinese horse. It will organize a variety of race meeting in different location, record a pedigree book for horses in China, adopt the technology in DNA paternity test for horse, classify horses by quality, and ensure the floatation of the breeding chain.

As the sub-committee of China Horse Industry Association, the racing committee is strictly regulated and localized by the nation’s legal systems and principles. It ensures the integrity of China horse racing in the area of race judge, safety, veterinary and drug-use. In order to raise the international competitiveness of China horse racing industry, the committee establishes three key codes of conduct: fairness, independence, and transparency.
In recent years, horse racing has been the spot light in mainland China sport market. The committee will focus on inheriting the nation’s horse tradition as well as promoting the modern horse racing culture. Aligning with a number of local horse clubs, such as Guangdong Horse Club and Inner Mongolia Horse Club, various horse racing related activities will be delivered to local racing fans.
From 2015 on, the committee will start to organize race meeting in a regular basis and establish a series of key races, namely China Cup, China Breeder’s Cup and China Derby.
