Staffs are confident
“Since we publish the news on the new course, I keep answering inquiry calls on this program” the marketing manager of Sichuan Media College, Sun Hao Rui, said.
Sun expressed that the reason to have such course in the college is to increase the competitiveness of student in order to help them with hunting jobs and building career paths. This is an elective course that allows students to equip themselves with a variety of knowledge.
“The course will start next semester and we hear positive response from students on this program” said Sun.
Students are curious
“I am really excited about the new course but the tuition fee stops me” said a second-year student, Zhao Ying.
Alike Zhao, many students express their interests in the program because this is a new industry for many Chinese student and they have positive impression on it. However, this is new to the job market as well and there is very few position required these skills and knowledge.
“To be honest, this may not be useful for an art student like me; the tuition fee of RMB 30,000 is a bit too difficult for my family.”
Parents are confused
“We are not rich enough to afford her with another course in college” Zhao Ying’s parent said.
Many families in China do not know about the industry and the main concern for them is the outcome from learning this course is an uncertainty compared to such a high tuition fee.
On the other hand, some rich families think that this is a way for their kids to gain a special skill in order to compete in the job market.
